The men and women of Campden’s community fire and rescue service are a rare breed.
In November they spent several (usually very cold) nights putting up the Christmas lights in town, and this weekend they could be found clearing snow from the pavements along the High Street. Clearing the pavements not only makes it safer for shoppers, but also clearly helps all the businesses in the centre of town by showing that Campden is still open for business, despite the weather.
And you know what. No one asked them to do this. They weren’t paid. They just decided amongst themselves that it would be good for the town.
On behalf of Campden’s businesses the Forum would like to thank the men and women of the local fire service – you do a great job. If you want to show your appreciation, why not visit their Facebook page and post your message of support and thanks.
